Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply when you browse this website, request a quote or order a piece from us.

These terms apply to your use of this website and to every order you place with Koubba (“we”, “us”). By placing an order or sending a request, you confirm that you have read them. Our Returns & claims page and our Privacy Policy are part of these terms.

1. Who we are and how to reach us

Koubba is a brand of La360 SARL, a company based in Marrakech, Morocco. We design and make furniture in marble, travertine and zellige to order and ship it internationally. To ask a question, request a quotation or follow an order, use the form on the Request a quote page.

2. Our pieces

Every piece is made to order. The photographs, dimensions and descriptions on this website are given in good faith, but each piece is made from natural materials (stone, zellige), which vary from one block or tile to the next.

Natural variation. Veining, colour, pores, bands and texture differ from slab to slab, and the tone of zellige from tile to tile. Your piece will not match a photograph exactly, and this variation is the character of the material, not a defect. If the appearance matters, tell us before you order and we will explain what can and cannot be chosen.

Dimensions. Dimensions are nominal. Because pieces are cut and finished by hand, small differences are normal. Dimensions are shown in inches and pounds, and can be switched to centimetres and kilograms.

3. Prices and currency

Prices are shown in US dollars. A price on this website, or in a quotation, covers the piece as described. Shipping is free to the United States and to Marrakech (see Shipping & Delivery); for any other destination, contact us for a delivery quotation. Import duties, taxes and customs fees depend on the destination country: contact us to find out what applies, and a quotation states it. A quotation states the period during which it is valid.

4. Orders and acceptance

You can order a piece that shows a price directly on this website. For other pieces, and for custom work, we send you a quotation after your request, and the order is formed when you accept it and we confirm it in writing. We may decline or cancel an order, for example when a piece cannot be made as described or in case of an obvious error in a price, and we will then refund anything you have paid.

For custom pieces, the quotation or order confirmation records what has been agreed: dimensions, material, finish, base, price and the amount payable before production.

5. Payment

You pay by the methods offered at checkout or stated in your quotation. For made-to-order and custom pieces, a payment may be required before production starts, and the balance before shipping, as set out in your quotation.

6. Production and lead times

Each piece is made to order after you confirm it. Production takes 3 to 8 weeks. Lead times shown on the website or given in a quotation are estimates and begin when the order is confirmed and any payment due has been received. The materials, sourcing, and the complexity of a piece can affect them; we will tell you promptly if a date changes.

7. Shipping and delivery

Pieces are professionally crated for export. We arrange shipping with our carriers or forwarders (at no charge to you to the United States and Marrakech, and as set out in your quotation elsewhere), or you may arrange your own. Please tell us in advance about difficult access (stairs, a lift, a narrow entrance, a loading dock), as it can affect delivery. Inspect the crate and the piece on delivery and follow the steps in our Returns & claims page if anything is damaged.

The responsibility for loss or damage passes to you when the piece is delivered to the address you gave us, unless your quotation states otherwise.

8. Cancellation and changes

You may cancel or change an order before production begins, and we will refund what you have paid, less any cost we already incurred that cannot be recovered (for example material reserved or cut for you). Once production has begun, a made-to-order or custom piece cannot be cancelled, because it is made specifically for you. The details are on the Returns & claims page.

9. Defects and your legal rights

We want every piece to arrive as described. If a piece has a defect or is not as ordered, we will repair, replace or refund it according to our Returns & claims page. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have as a consumer under the law of your country that cannot be excluded by agreement.

10. Care

Stone and zellige need simple care, such as coasters, wiping up spills promptly and using a neutral cleaner. Damage caused by acids, abrasives, heat, impact or lack of care is not a defect. Read our care and maintenance guidance.

11. Using this website

You may browse this website and send requests through it for lawful purposes. You must not misuse it, try to gain unauthorised access, upload harmful files, or copy it systematically. We do our best to keep the information accurate and the website available, but we do not guarantee that it is free of errors or interruptions.

12. Intellectual property

The texts, photographs, drawings, designs and brand of this website belong to us or to our licensors. You may view and print them for your personal use or to prepare a project with us, but you may not reproduce or use them commercially without our written permission. Custom designs we prepare for you remain our property unless we agree otherwise in writing.

13. Our liability

We are responsible for the pieces we deliver as set out in these terms and as the law requires. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control (for example transport disruption, customs, weather or force majeure). Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

14. Personal data

We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the country where the seller is established, without depriving a consumer of the mandatory protections of the law of the country where they live. We will always try to settle a dispute with you directly first. If you are a consumer, you may also bring a claim before the courts of your country of residence where the law gives you that right.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to an order is the one shown on this page on the day you place it. The date at the top shows the latest version.
